Think of it as Dolly Parton by way of Liberace with a healthy dose of Alabama Worley. Even then, you’re only scratching the surface on the inspiration behind Isolated Heroes latest collection “Nevada.” The award wining designer who’s brought us cyber space Barbie’s to high fantasy bride’s is going out West with a combo of Glam Rock and Casino Chic. It’s high trash at its finest. While designer Samantha Patton is a bit of an internet darling (the queen of sequins counting Miley Cyrus among her fan base) she’s bringing her latest collection to Southblock for her first pop up in Glasgow. Hot damn.
From the 27th of 28th, Isolated Heroes are taking over Southblock on Osborne Street in a hail of sequins, rhinestones and a proverbial shit ton of glitter. Their signatures of candy coloured furs remain while we see some new hand stitched sequin appliqués on sheer dresses, crop tops and over-sized jumpers nestled next to bold animal print bikers It’s all part of their go big or go home aesthetic – wallflowers need not apply. So basically perfect for gallus Glasgow gals right?
Ranging from size 6-24, Isolated Heroes leads the charge for body-positivity and kick ass style, with a focus on inclusiveness and letting out your inner sass goddess. It’s Americana meets Cyber Girl Gangs with all the flourishes that have made Isolated Heroes one of the most exciting independent designers on the market. Expect lots of embellishment, boxy party dresses and cowgirl inspired silhouettes!
Join Isolated Heroes at Southblack on Oborne Street from 10am-6pm to get your paws on some of these beauties and avoid serious sequin withdrawal!
