Turns out the holiday blues are a thing. And while I’d rather still be in Tokyo eating takoyaki and viewing cherry blossoms, coming home to a care package from The White Pepper definitely softened the blow. Their Spring SS16 collection is all about a girl going to Japan and basically falling in love with the food, the culture and the fashion, so basically my life. All very serendipitous. Defined by oversized exaggerated silhouettes, snack inspired patches and Meadhamesque ruffles, “Big in Japan” is a love letter to Japan’s kawaii culture.
