LFW AW16 Jamie Wei Huang

Another season of Jamie Wei Huang has all the hallmarks we’ve come to expect from the designer. “Lily” returns with Wei Haung’s trademark elongated shapes, restricted colour palete and leather finishing for a post war inspired collection.  With cacoon like leather bombers, structured couluttes with bow detailing and ribbed polo dresses, Wei Huang once more treads the careful line blending masculine and feminine to evoke the post-war depressive economy and turning it in to something truly beautiful.

It’s a starkly more feminine collection for Wei Huang who’s brand has become known for lose unisex fits, instead featuring peplummed leather pencil skirts, frilled cashmere and ribboned over-sized shirts. “Lily” is sports luxe through a historical lens mixing metal finishing, faux furs and leather details for a new take on traditional elegance and femininity.
