It’s retro futurism but not as we know it. Fyodor Golan return for their SS16 collection with their ecclectic mix of sports luxe with billowing femminine flourishes. Paper cut flowers juxtoposed with transformers battle print sweaters only begin to scratch the surface of the uber-kitsch Spring Summer collection from the design duo.
Robotic houndstooth is contrasted with flashes of neon brights, brassy mettalics and bold illustrations, borrowing heavily from early 80s cartoons and decopage style florals. Their latest designs presents a cyber-futuristic geisha with their daisy print flatforms and exagerated boxy sleeves. Splits, ruffles, sheers and embelished neoprene make for yet another fun collection that’s a perfect mish mash of 80s pop culture and contemporary fashion.
