Best part of fashion week? Somerset House. Shows are great for seeing how clothes move but they really are a blink and you miss it kind of affair. Meeting the designers, getting to see the collection up close and feel them, well that’s a whole different ball park. Millinery is always a highlight. Seeing the Fyodor Golan collection up close and discovering new favorites in the form of Phiney Pet and catching up with the latest from Cat Brothers was unbeatable.

Gonzo, My Little Pony and biker girl gangs – fashion week this season was heavy on a nostalgia kick, and while the streets were paying lip service to the 70s, the collections that really got under my skin were playful and fun. It’s the best kind. It doesn’t take itself too seriously, is divisive and is all the better for it. Muppet turbans and vampire cat leather jackets may not be for everyone but it’s collections like those that keep me inspired and coming back for more.
