When it comes to birthday’s I’m a go go big or go home type of gal. I love any excuse to dress up (obviously) and any excuse for cake (ditto) and with my sister’s birthday, I knew it was the perfect time to crack out this little number from Warehouse.
I go on about how much my wardrobe palette for the most part is like a giant bruise but I’ve been finding myself drawn towards softer colours and shades recently (perhaps to go with my accidental mermaid tresses?) I’m not quite there on embracing full on pastel pink but I can totally get behind powder blues and dusky peaches. It was also about time added a bit more structure to my wardrobe as after Christmas I was all about keeping my clothes loosey goosey and very very forgiving.
Dress – c/o Warehouse
Necklace – H&M
Scarf – Karen Mabon
Jacket – Charity Shop
Watch – Casio
Shoes – Primark
Bag – c/o Next
I thought this little guy was perfect for afternoon tea with the sistering so wore it with leopord print (obviously) and my gold tooth necklace bought in the Winter sales. Paired with my old faithful Dorothy Perkins charity shop jacket, a cheeky bit of Karen Mabon and my Casio watch and I was good to go.
So what we thinking? More colour in my wardrobe for the season? Stranger things have happened.
