Today I kicked off my charity challenge of One Month One Dress. I’m feeling pretty good about it at the moment but that may be the new dress feeling (let’s see if I’m still feeling the same way at the end of the month.) I wore this for a wee creep at the Peter Rabbit exhibition at the Scotland Street School Museum. I hadn’t seen my friend Calgilicious in forever so we thought a bit of Beatrix Potter and machine hot chocolate was a good way to catch up. The exhibition was everything I wanted it to be and more – celebrating over 110 years of Peter Rabbit and Emma Thompson carrying on his adventures. Some of my favourite things included some Peter Rabbit slippers, a Tom Kitten wooden figurine and some letters of correspondence between Emma Thompson and Peter Rabbit (I nearly died of how cute it was.) It was also really cool to see the rest of the school which was designed by Rennie Mackintosh, though the weird wooden figurines dotted about the place were like something from my nightmares.
For One Month One Dress I managed to hit my target of £200 before it even kicked off (which is mental but thank you so so so much to everyone who has donated) so I’ve set a new target of £400. You can donate by going to my justgiving page www.justgiving.com/beewaits or donate by text by texting BEEW88 to 70070 with the amount you wish to donate. I’ll be raising money for Glasgow Women’s aid throughout the month so please keep an eye on the page for video updates. I’ll be posting new pics every day and will be tweeting about it over @beewaits using #onemonthonedress.
Tommorow is the sister’s 21st so will be my first going out outfit! Wish me luck!
