Serendipitous Sushi Styling

Turns out the holiday blues are a thing. And while I'd rather still be in Tokyo eating takoyaki and viewing cherry blossoms, coming home to a care package from The White Pepper definitely softened the blow. Their Spring SS16 collection is all about a girl going to Japan and basically falling in love with the food, the culture and the fashion, so basically my life. All very serendipitous. Defined by oversized exaggerated silhouettes, snack inspired patches and Meadhamesque ruffles, "Big in Japan" is a love letter to Japan's kawaii culture.

Bomber - WeGo

Necklace - Bloody Mary Metal
Dress - The White Pepper

It's all super easy to wear pieces featuring a checklist of all your favourite Japanese snacks. With dumplings, rice balls and steaming bowls of noodles, the collection has be reliving my emoji culinary tour of Japan through my wardrobe.  The smock dresses are already becoming a firm favourite for my Spring/Summer wardrobe as an essential for effortless dressing.  It's an homage to sub-cultural , styling in the very best way, designed with sincerity, enthusiasm and heart.
