BLOW near enough broke the internet last year with their "How to Hide Your Glitter Roots" campaign. While the big guns are playing catch up and teaching you how to create BLOW's iconic glitter hair at home, the Glasgow salon is focusing on bringing their cruelty-free colour bar to the masses. But how do you showcase the best of bunny friendly fashion brights and in-house blends? A girl gang photo shoot obviously.

For the cruelty free beauty nut who has everything, only the best cult finds will do. You won't find any L'Oreal on their wish list this festive season (or any season in fact) and finding a product that they haven't heard of or tried already can be tricky. There's all your usual suspects - Illamasqua, GOSH and Barry M, but sometimes the best finds can be the ones that have been under the radar. Cult beauty finds don't need to be cult anymore when they're this good.

Black Friday has come to mark the launch of Christmas shopping. While many of the big high street giants have had their decorations and Christmas tunes spinning since Mid-October, it's still the last Friday in November that truly marks the beginning of the festive season. While Black Friday has got some what of a rought rap in the last few years, it's still a great way to save a few pennies, discover new brands and pick up some great bargains. With some of my favourite indie designers taking part in Cyber Weekend there's never been a better excuse to shop local. Here are my top Indie Black Friday deals for you to spend your pay day dollah on.

The Trading House is the latest adition to Glasgow's burgeoning dining scene. Combining casual dining with a rich and varied cocktail bar, The Trading House sets itself as a metropolitan up-market pub. It's official, tight and boot season is upon us. Layering has swiftly went from optional to mandatory and with more wet days than dry ones at the moment, there's never been a greater need for a sensible shoe. Guess it's time to put away the open toes fluffies unless I'm going from car to bar right? Thankfully over the years I've built a pretty sweet collection of Winter ready shoes that makes the transition all the less painful. It's goodbye cons, and hello Doc Martens.

Nothing's quite as memorable as a smell. Scents have the power to instantly transport us serving as bench markers for moments in time. For that reason alone investing in a perfume for your wedding day is worth the entry price alone. The best place to start when figuring out what you want is looking at your dressing room table and seeing what perfumes you're attracted to. I've rounded up some of my favourite long lasting perfumes ranging from bright florals to smoky gourmands, just what you need when looking for that finishing touch.

I'm a sucker for a classic which means time and time again I reach for my uniform pieces. A good jean, a classic brenton, so far, so rolled straight off of instagram right? While I think some good basics should be part of everyone's wardrobe, that doesn't mean you shouldn't be able to have a little fun with them. From leather bombers to crisp white trainers, it's the finishing touches that lifts an everyday style uniform from tried, tested, and yes, a little bt tierd, to something worth getting excited about wearing.

All my love

I can think of few better ways to say thank you than through the stomach. We've all got to eat, and nothing says "I appreicate you and everything you do" like a day out. At least, I'd like to think so. I haven't had a chance to see my dad as much as I'd like on the run up to my wedding (or in general) so I wanted to treat him to something special. He's my first point of call for any grown up advice, had guided me through an alphabet's worth of wedding related meltdowns, all side lined with a serving of snark. Basically he's made sure my brain hasn't fallen completely out my head. So how do you thank your dad for everything that he's done? With bubbles and brunch of course.

If you're self consious about your skin, like me, it can be tempting to just want to find the thickest foundation possible and just pack it on your face. However, thanks to a good deal of trial and error, coupled with a need for something more decidedly low matinence, I began exploring BB creams. It's still something I am not entirely sold on, in truth, why not call a spade a spade and just call it a light foundation? Well I suppose because a spade and a hoe are two different things. They are both gardening tools but they serve different things. It's the same with foundation and BB cream. As part woman, part snake, my skin needs something less harsh now and then, yet I still need coverage. Basically Smashbox BB Water was the answer to my prayers.

A collection inspired by 70's gender fluid rock stars was always going to all kinds of dreamy. Dirty Disco's latest collection "Heroes" is an homage to Bowie and Jagger, mixing a good bit of art house rock with a generous helping of disco. Designer Hailea Crichton has carved out a name for herself on the indie design scene with her reworked denim and leather label. She's taken the leap from sassy feminist dinosaurs to cosmic rainbow panthers. Giant sparkles and traditional tattoo design are the key stone features of "Heroes" making for a bold, empowering and flamboyant collection.

When you run your own business, the idea of a work/life balance becomes something of some fantastical myth akin to a unicorn or kelpie. Hell, even if you don't, we're switching off less, especially with constant access to our emails. Basically, we've forgotten how to take a step back, switch off and breathe. Thankfully, indie start-up, Tech Meets Paper want to solve this with the launch of their new app. Think of it as your personal life coach in your pocket. Combining the very best of analogue notebooks and digital diaries, Tech Meets Paper promotes mindfulness, organisation and yeah, really really beautiful stationary.
